Enhancing public mental health in Central Virginia

Welcome to the Health Planning Region IV Reinvestment Project website. The Region IV Reinvestment Project is aimed at the planful reduction of state mental health and mental retardation institution bed censuses, with financial savings being reinvested in new and expanded regional community-based services and clinical/staff supports. This website is intended as a resource for staff, clinicians, and physicians in the Central Virginia region serving people with diagnoses including mental illness, mental retardation, substance abuse, and/or developmental disabilities.
